I am a die hard fan of George Carlin, for never had I seen such a great comedian, who understood better than anyone else what America is all About. I should clearly say the United States to avoid any kind of misunderstandings. The way he depicted the United States’ government intentions to go after the taxpayers was pure poetry.
He was a sophisticated comedian, and I sure miss his absence. I guess a lot of the shit that is going on today he predicted many years ago. I am talking about the lies and how The United States government in general only wants to have hard-working obedient citizens, who religiously pay their taxes.
I am talking about keeping everyone distracted with sports and buying things they don't need in first place. And as he clearly stated in one of his shows, American love the mall because while they are at it they can satisfy their two addictions: shopping and eating. Now, we have become no different from them, for we only care about money. I would be very disappointed if I were only interested in making money as a way to justify my existence.
Must die TV was one of the most vivid examples of how he thoroughly knew his people. In the pyramid of the hopeless he created, there was a superb hierarchy. “Americans are for sale, and they would do anything for money” has become a statement I treasure. American would eat anything salted in deepen in butter. In one of his shows he said: If you sell salted raccoon asses on a stick, people would buy it. Even though he passed away a few years ago, I still listen to his jokes and watch his HBO performances.
“Comedy is hard; dying is easy” is a statement I heard from Peter O'Toole. I can only agree with that statement. When we talked about comedy in America George Carlin and Richard prior are without a doubt two characters not to be missed.
