The art of portraying nature

This is a painting of a dear friend of mine who has devoted his life to art. I know better than anybody else on the planet that has not been a picnic. Being an artist is no laughing matter and being able to portrait nature is not an easy task. Now having said that, it is important to point out that I got this painting from him many years ago, and it has traveled with me over the years wherever I go. I have no intentions of giving it up because it brings peace to my life. There are certain possessions I refuse to get rid of; besides my mountain bike and other things not worth mentioning, this is one of them. This painting is a constant reminder I must not lose touch with nature, no matter what. I believe it is important to count on such reminders in case we lose track of things.
